It is clear that, the renewable energies sector play a strategic role in the Spanish economy due to the important penetration achieved in a very short time and because Spanish companies have achieved a good positions at the vanguard of technology in many fields.

The main idea of this Chair is to develop a coherent working line as well as public events in order to, among others objectives, bring into light the value of renewable energies as a future sector of the economy on one hand, and as a strategy to fight the climate change on the other. Besides, contribute to the debate with analysis based on empirical data, streamlining the discourse and fighting erroneous prejudices.

We wish to offer a platform for debates on the tools, regulatory systems, and the potentialities of each of the energy sources, the economic impact and objectives in the mid and long term.
