Antonio Estella de Noriega is a law graduate from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, holds a Master’s Degree in Communitarian Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles as well as a PhD in Law from the European University Institute of Florence in 1997.
He is tenured professor at the Universidad Carlos III where he holds the Jean Monnet in European Integration professorship. His specialization and research fields are law, European Union policy and transatlantic relations.
His professional and political experience include his work as academic coordinator of the Study Services of the Fundación Alternativas, advisor to the International Secretariat of the PSOE and the Minister of Justice. Likewise, he coordinated the transatlantic relations section of electoral program of the PSOE in 2008.
Josefa Calero holds a degree in Law and Economics from Carlos III University. She also studied at the University of Pisa, Italy. She also holds an MA in Economic Development also from the Carlos III University. Her dissertation for her MA was presented at the Second Latin American Congress of Economic History (Mexico City 2010).
She has worked as a research assistant at the Foundation Luis Camoes and the Department of Economic History at the Carlos III University, as well as an economist in the PRISA group.
Her areas of expertise include income inequality and poverty, international economy, microfinance’s and economic growth models.
