On the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in Madrid, the most significant ever in Spain’s recent history, IDEAS Foundation would like to show consideration and solidarity to all the people who, one way or another, were affected by its terrifying effects, as well as urges people not to forget the victims.

IDEAS Foundation considers taking common action against all kinds of violence is the key to fight terrorism efficiently. Therefore, beyond the specific case of 11-M, IDEAS Foundation renews its wager on multilateralism and international cooperation as crucial in achieving a stable and lasting world peace.

IDEAS Foundation considers that the world must work together towards a great alliance to foster cohabitation and understanding among idiosyncrasies and cultures to guarantee the protection of all human rights related to people’s dignity.

In this sense, IDEAS thinks it is necessary to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals to fight poverty, as well as go further at meetings to reach agreements on climate change, world economic governance, the protection of the fundamental rights, the production and distribution of food and on the concept of international health, with guaranteed access to drinking water and minimum living standards, in order to reach peace worldwide.
