International relations are more and more important on the economic and political stage. Economic globalization, relations with strategic partners, the role of Spain in the European Union and the emergence of new actors and countries with their own influence are all elements that shape a new paradigm in the field of international relations.
For this reason, the activity of the International Area of the IDEAS Foundation requires analyzing and designing strategic policies to offer solutions to the great world challenges from a global, dynamic and progressive viewpoint. Global, because the world demands answers that are on a par with the challenges that are arising. Dynamic, because international and economic relations of the 21st century are constantly changing. Progressive, because we think the values of equality, social justice, sustainability and freedom must prevail in the present and future of international relations if we wish to build a better and more prosperous world.
The main objective of IDEAS Foundation's International Area is to position ourselves at the vanguard of progressive thinking on the international stage for the challenges facing the world in the coming years. For this reason, the international area of IDEAS Foundation’s International Area focuses mainly on three fields: the European Union, development cooperation and transatlantic relations.
